Strapsicle Size Guide: Which Straps Fit Your Kindle, Kobo or Oasis

Strapsicle’s straps are cheap and its return policy is fair, but the product only works if the size is right — and the brand says so itself in capitals on the product page: check the sizing guide before you add to cart. This article reproduces the fit information from the official size guide and FAQ as read on 4 September 2026, adds the clutch and clear-case dimensions, and sets out the Free Fit Guarantee terms in full so you know what happens if you still get it wrong.

✓ Paperwhite from 2021 onwards, Colorsoft or Signature Edition → LGE. This is the most common Kindle and the size the brand builds its bundles around.
✓ Kindle Basic 11th/12th Gen or Kobo Nia → SML. Older Kindles and Paperwhites (7th–10th Gen) and most 6-inch Kobos → MED. Kobo Libra 2 or Libra Colour → the dedicated Libra size.
✗ Straps do not work over flip covers or bulky cases. The brand states this plainly. Use a bare device or the $14.99 Strapsicle clear case. Kindle Scribe is not supported at all.

Step one: find your exact model
Strapsicle’s guide starts here because Kindle generations look alike. On a Kindle, tap the three dots, open Settings → Device Options → Device Info; the first line is the model name. On a Kobo, tap More → Settings; the device name sits next to “About”. Write it down before you look at the table — “Paperwhite” alone is not enough, because the 10th Gen Paperwhite (2018) and the 11th Gen (2021) take different sizes.
Step two: match the model to a strap size

One owner comment on the FAQ page is worth passing on: a Bigme B6 reader fits the SML strap when used with a thin third-party clear case. Strapsicle does not list the device officially, so treat that as a tip, not a guarantee.
Cases: what fits under a strap
The size guide says the straps “are designed to fit e-readers without bulky cases, and aren’t compatible with flip covers”, and recommends the brand’s own thin clear case for the best fit. That case is $14.99 and comes in six cuts: Paperwhite 7″ 12th Gen / Signature / Colorsoft (2024); Paperwhite 6.8″ 11th Gen / Signature (2021); Paperwhite 10th Gen (Paperwhite 4); Kindle 2022–2024 11th Gen (not Paperwhite); Kindle 10th Gen (not Paperwhite); and Kindle Oasis 2 and 3. There is no clear case for Kobo, so Kobo owners should use the straps on a bare device.
The trouble cases are the thick ones — folios, flip covers, anything with a magnetic front. Straps either will not stretch over them or pull a snap-on shell off at the corners. This is the single most common complaint in the brand’s Trustpilot reviews and it is not covered by the Free Fit Guarantee, which is about size, not case compatibility.

The standard clutch does not list the 7-inch Paperwhite 12th Gen or Colorsoft explicitly, but the product listing says it fits any device under 200 × 140 mm and both are within that; owners report the fit as snug rather than roomy. If you carry the Kindle in a case, or want room for a phone and earbuds, the large clutch is the safer buy.
The Free Fit Guarantee, clause by clause
If you order the wrong size, Strapsicle sends the right one free. The terms from the size-guide page:
- How to claim: email hello@strapsicle.com with a photo of the device type and your order number.
- Same colour only: replacement straps must match the colour you ordered.
- One exchange per order.
- Proof may be requested: a photo of the strap on your device.
- Return may be required: in some cases you must send the original back before the new size ships.
- Direct purchases only, not transferable, not combinable with other offers.
- Excludes colour changes, wear and tear, and damage from incorrect use.
Alongside it sits the ordinary returns policy: 30 days for change of mind, product unused and in original packaging, return postage at your cost, refunds processed 7–10 business days after inspection, sale items final, shipping fees non-refundable. The brand says the straps are not compatible with flip covers and are designed for devices without bulky cases. Remove the cover or switch to the thin clear case.
What if the Free Fit Guarantee replacement is also wrong?
The guarantee is a one-time exchange per order. After that you are in the standard 30-day returns process, at your own postage, for an unused item.
