Evereden Face Washes Compared: Multi-Vitamin vs Cloud vs Steer Clear

Evereden’s store lists 101 kids’ and teen products, and three of them are face washes that look interchangeable on the shelf: the Kids Multi-Vitamin Face Wash, the Kids Cloud Face Wash and the teen Steer Clear Balancing Cleanser. They are not interchangeable. They use different cleansing systems, target different ages and only one of them comes fragrance-free. We pulled the full ingredient lists and product data from ever-eden.com on 4 September 2026 to show exactly where they differ.

✓ Most kids, ages 3–11: Kids Multi-Vitamin Face Wash, Fragrance Free ($15.75). It is the only wash of the three with no added fragrance, uses a mild sugar-based cleanser (coco-glucoside) and carries the brand’s 100/100 Yuka score.
✓ Kids who fight bath time: Kids Cloud Face Wash ($16.50) — a whipped, marshmallow-textured foam in one scent (Tropical Sorbet). Fun beats clinical here, at the cost of a stronger surfactant blend and an 86/100 Yuka score.
✓ Tweens and teens, 12–17, with oily or blemish-prone skin: Steer Clear Balancing Cleanser ($15.75), a gel-to-foam wash built around willow bark extract and vitamin B5.

What the ingredient lists actually say
Multi-Vitamin Face Wash is built on three gentle, non-sulfate surfactants — coco-glucoside (from coconut, palm and corn sugars), disodium cocoyl glutamate and sodium lauroyl oat amino acids — followed by glycerin and coconut water for slip. What makes it more than a soap is the back half of the list: niacinamide, panthenol, ceramide NP, hyaluronic acid, inulin and a Lactococcus ferment lysate (a prebiotic), plus safflower-derived fatty acids and vitamin E. Preservation is benzoic acid, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate. The fragrance-free version drops “Fragrance (Parfum)” from the end of the list and is otherwise identical.
Cloud Face Wash gets its marshmallow texture from a different system: disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate and sodium cocoyl isethionate — both classed as mild but stronger foamers than glucosides — plus potassium cocoyl glycinate, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, and glycol distearate (the pearlising agent that makes it look creamy). Skin-care extras are coconut fruit juice, squalane from upcycled olive oil and panthenol. It only comes scented. If your child has reactive skin, this is the one to patch-test first; if your child refuses to wash their face, it is the one most likely to end the argument.
Steer Clear publishes its ingredient list as an image rather than text on the product page we could read, so we cannot reproduce it line by line. The brand copy emphasises willow bark extract (a natural source of salicylates, the same family as salicylic acid), vitamin B5 and citric acid, and describes the formula as silicone-free, gluten-free and vegan, developed for “blemish-prone, sensitive” teen skin. It is a gel-to-foam wash, so it feels lighter and rinses cleaner than the two kids’ products.
All three are marketed as vegan and “developed with Harvard and Stanford dermatologists”. The store shows an EWG-style “high safety” tag next to every ingredient, with a disclaimer that this is not the same as EWG Verified certification — a fair note that we repeat here.
Choosing by age, not by marketing
Evereden’s own age labels overlap. The Multi-Vitamin wash is listed as safe from age 3 and “ideal for kids and teens of all ages” on the main page, while the fragrance-free variant says 6–11. Cloud is 3–11. Steer Clear is 12–17. In practice the useful split is by skin need rather than birthday:
- Under 6: either kids’ wash works, but most parents will not need a face wash at all yet; the brand’s baby range covers this age.
- 6–11, normal skin: Multi-Vitamin, Fragrance Free if there is any history of eczema or scent sensitivity — independent reviews of Evereden mention strong scents as the most common dislike.
- 6–11, will not wash without a game: Cloud.
- 11–13 with first breakouts: move to Steer Clear early rather than doubling up on the kids’ wash; the willow bark is the point.

Full-size washes sit at $15.75–16.50 against list prices of $21–22, a discount that has been running since at least early September. The $9 travel sizes (Multi-Vitamin, Steer Clear at $7.50) are the cheapest way to test scent and texture before committing. Which Evereden face wash is fragrance-free?
Only the Kids Multi-Vitamin Face Wash in its Fragrance Free variant ($15.75). Cloud is scented (Tropical Sorbet); Steer Clear is not labelled fragrance-free.
Can a teenager use the Kids Multi-Vitamin Face Wash?
The brand says it is “ideal for kids and teens of all ages”. It has no acne-targeting ingredient, though, so teens with breakouts are pointed to Steer Clear.
Is the Cloud Face Wash harsher?
Its surfactants (sulfosuccinate and isethionate) foam more strongly than the glucoside in the Multi-Vitamin wash, and it is scented. Both are sulfate-free. For sensitive skin, start with Multi-Vitamin Fragrance Free.
